President Rozema introduced City Commissioner Christine Teel - She noted that our District 1 contributed the largest tax base in the city. We also had the highest number of voter “turn-outs”. She stated that Alan Silva is the volunteer City Manager, and is working diligently on a financial plan to maintain a balanced budget for the City of Fort Lauderdale. He is trying his best to cut costs wherever possible. The task is most difficult - especially when it comes to dealing with personnel in all fields. Q & A period followed. She announced a forum for all candidates for District 91 would be held at the Beach Community Center on November 24th.
