Fort Lauderdale District 1 City Commissioner Heather Moraitis’ March/April 2021 Newsletter invites constituents to weigh in with lawmakers about two legislative proposals in Tallahassee. Moraitis recommends opposing a vacation rental bill that would clear the way to polluting residential neighborhoods with unrestricted “party” houses and take away control and regulations from local jurisdictions.  She also affirms support for a bill that would empower local jurisdictions to prohibit smoking on local beaches.
