MINUTES OF GMCA ADVISORY BOARD MEETING

DECEMBER 16, 2004


President Rozema called the Meeting to order at 11:00 A.M.

Board members present: Rozema, Gill, Ieraci, Glickfield, Guttman, Freismuth, Faro, Rossi, Hamaker, Hurley, Katkin, Shultz, Berkowitz, McBride, Mayor, Nicholson-Brown, Kreal, Ludwick, Songer, McGilligan, Hornacheck and Desiring.

Approval of Minutes - None Presented.

President Rozema introduced our City Commissioner Christine Teel, who in turn introduced our new Assistant City Manager, Kathleen Gunn - (954) 828-5026. Commissioner Teel reported that it took a while to coordinate everything, but at last she did succeed in new uniform newspaper receptacles which will be in place soon. She also noted that everyone should carefully check all the new insurance rates. Everyone in �City Hall� is cooperating fully with our new City Manager and noting many improvements. She noted that there will be a meeting at the Community Center on January 24th, relative to the construction of Opus South. She also announced the date for the Air & Sea Show would be on April 30th and May 1st.

Q & A period followed

Il Lugano - Ralph Hamaker noted that the trouble with the foundation was slowing up progress - but all of the condos have been sold.

Beach Renourishment - Pio stated that Nova University is monitoring this project. It should be completed in 2006-07. It starts in Hollywood. He also noted that several trees on A1A had been uprooted during the hurricanes, and have been removed. The City is replacing them.

Newsletter Discussion - President Rozema congratulated Eric Berkowitz on his outstanding work.

Galt Mile Web Site - Eric reported 110,719 hits in November. He announced that he has set up a procedure on our web site wherein you may sign up to claim Homestead Exemption which is one more great service Eric has provided for us and we are deeply appreciative of it.

Treasurer�s Report - The Treasurer, Leah Glickfield, reported $15,922.17 in the Treasury.

New Business - Many people complained of poor service in every way at Winn-Dixie. Pio will write a letter to CEO of Winn-Dixie with our complaint.

THE NEXT REGULAR BOARD MEETING WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 20, 2005 AT NICK�S ITALIAN KITCHEN AT 11:00 A.M.
