Broward County Commissioner Lamar Fisher, in his latest newsletter, updates us on several things happening in our county that are of interest to Galt Mile residents.
Commissioner Fisher has been appointed to the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA), which provides commuter rail service, known as Tri-Rail. Tri-Rail has played a critical role in regional transportation infrastructure since 1989, connecting major cities and destinations across the tri-county. He was reappointed to the Broward Metropolitan Organization (MPO) and the Broward County Planning Council, two vital organizations that plan for future development and transportation in Broward County. He has also been reappointed to represent the County Commission on the Broward County Planning Council.
Broward County’s Animal Care Division recently launched an innovative Tags for Life program, which simplifies the pet registration process for residents. All dogs and cats in Broward County must have a County registration tag and a current rabies vaccination to comply with local laws.
