Broward Commissioner Lamar Fisher provides us with an update of happenings in Broward County in his February 2025 newsletter. 

The Broward County Commission recently held a workshop to discuss the results of the Countywide Resilience Risk Assessment.  With the increased flooding events in our area, it is vital to discuss policies and investments that will protect our communities.  Broward County has the chance to make a major change in the way we handle trash and years to come. These decisions will shape the future landscape in Broward County, both in an environmental aspect as well as how future generations think about trash

The Ride Share Pickup area for Terminals 3 and 4 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport has relocated inside the Palm Garage to help alleviate roadway congestion. Features of the new location include covered shelter for protection from weather, new seating, larger waiting spaces and a separate exit to bypass traffic congestion.
