The Executive Office of the Governor has requested an on-site visit to review the County’s Budget. We have the same objective of being transparent and fiscally responsible with public funds.
Upcoming events include Dine Out Lauderdale. Starting August 1 through September 30 residents and visitors are encouraged to check out VisitLauderdale.com/DineOutLauderdale, where you can find special, three-course dining options at participating restaurants starting at $35. Broward County Convention Center is preparing to open, along with the Headquarters Hotel.
Broward County schools start date is August 11. This year, Florida’s 2025 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday will run for the entire month of August. As of July 1, Florida’s annual hurricane sales tax holiday has been replaced with year-round tax exemptions on many disaster preparedness items.
