Remember, this is turtle nesting season on the beach – from March 1 – October 31. The turtles come onto our beach to lay their eggs and return to the ocean. Upon hatching, the baby turtles scamper into the water.
It is important to remind residents, and especially visitors and guests, not to disturb the turtle nests, nor walk on them. Many times, non-residents don’t know about protecting the turtles – and we are asking you to inform them about the turtle nests. The poster should be posted in all buildings and shared with residents and guests of those using the beaches.
The Galt Mile turtles are our guests during these nine months. Let’s treat them as guests and protect the Galt Mile turtles.
