It is with a heavy heart we share with you that Fern McBride passed away July 27, 2026.  Fern was the Secretary of the Galt Mile Community Association and our friend.  

When I became active in 2007, she was the secretary and I have no idea how long before that.  She served on the Board of Director of the Galt, and was an active member of the Regency Tower board of directors for many years.  She worked for the Broward County Public School System, from which she retired.  Her son was with her during her brief illness. 

Fern was a soft-spoken, charming individual.  A truly remarkable woman who loved the Galt Mile and gave unselfishly to our neighborhood.  She will be greatly missed by

all of the Galt Mile community.  We extend our sympathies to her family and friends.  May she rest in peace.
