MINUTES OF GMCA ADVISORY BOARD MEETING

FEBRUARY 17, 2005


President Rozema called the Meeting to order at 11:00 A.M.

Board members present: Rozema, Gill, Ieraci, Freismuth, Glickfield, Guttman, Rossi, Berkowitz, McBride, Creal, Casier, Dr. Drews, Schultz, Alfano, Comis, Black, Mayor, Tymeson, Montrose and Katkin.

Approval of Minutes - For January 20, 2005 were approved.

President Rozema welcomed Major Mary Negrey of the Fort Lauderdale Police (our district) Major Negrey has been in the Police dept. for over 26 years. She noted that they had police on patrol 24/7. She stated that the homeless are already aware of the No Trespassing signs which the police have distributed to all condos, co-ops and businesses in our area. They are posted on all properties and signed by the police on duty at the time of posting. Question and answer period followed.

Il Lugano - In the absense of Ralph Hamaker, Pio reported that the contractors had run into problems with the drainage field but it should be cleaned up soon as previously announced.

Cleveland Clinic Update - It is still owned by Cleveland Clinic.

Beach Renourishment - Will be starting in Hollywood in mid-April according to information Pio received.

Newsletter Discussion - Doing great.

Galt Mile Web Site - Eric reported that in March of 2004 there were 135,000 hits; in December of 2004 there were 150,938 hits and in January of 2005 there were 273,477. Many were from Tallahassee. He noted there were 10,000 hits a day in February of 2005. He also announced that we had gotten many requests for ads. The Board expressed many accolades to Eric for a "Wonderful Job - Well Done!" We also told him of our deep and sincere appreciation for all his efforts on our behalf.

All of the correspondence attached to the agenda was self-explanatory.

The Annual Air/Sea Show is scheduled for April 30 and May 1, 2005.

Rose Guttman noted thyat in view of the illness of Helen Quinlan and noting she was incapacitated, she would like to make the MOTION THAT ERIC BERKOWITZ BE DESIGNATED AS SECRETARY. Seconded and passed unanimously.

Treasurer�s Report - Leah Glickfield reported $15,975.26 in our Treasury.

THE NEXT REGULAR BOARD MEETING WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, MARCH 17, 2005 AT NICK�S ITALIAN KITCHEN AT 11:00 A.M.

Meeting adjourned at 12:40 P.M.
