Gary Sieger - President Rozema introduced Gary Seiger, President of the Shore Club and member of Alliance I who informed us that the employees there are trying to form a local union for all condos. They contacted their attorney and found out they couldn't do a thing about it. However, they did refer them to a union specialist to get his input. If this union should become successful, it would change every chain of command in any condo and be very difficult to handle.
Palazzo - Pete Witchens, Assistant City Manager, stated that this set up would be a Private-Public Ownership. He also presented drawings and plans for same. There would be an Aquatic Center, streetscapes, and beach renourishment. A thousand parking spaces would be given to the city. It would be like a 25 to 28 million dollar gift to the city. This plan has not been finalized nor approved yet.
Jan Edelman - stated that there would be a special lunch at Shooters on June 3rd for a neighborhood get together.
The $100,000 Question - The money has been found, thanks to Commissioner Teel. However, about $20,000 has been spent on street lights and was not supposed to come out of that $100,000. They are checking with the DOT for getting that money back.
