Our Fort Lauderdale Commissioner, John Herbst, in his newsletter, provides a status briefing to highlight all the accomplishments that he and the residents have achieved.  The status update includes commission priorities, District 1 parks, Lockhart Park at the soccer stadium, park bond spending, and traffic design. 

He showcases the North Beach Shoppes and the ongoing events such as the street festivals.  There will be a two-day Arts and Craft Show on December 14-15 and then again on February 14-15, with over 120 vendors participating.  The Galt Ocean Drive Upgrades will include new street lighting on the west side of the street.  The design work is now 100% completed.  Additionally, the two city parking lots along Galt Ocean Drive will be resurfaced and upgraded by the end of the year.
